Nepal marks victory against West Indies ‘A’; Splendid century of Rohit

Kathmandu: Nepal has defeated West Indies ‘A’ in the first match of the T-20 series.

Nepal defeated West Indies ‘A’ by 4 wickets at T.U. International Stadium on Saturday.

Nepal chased the target of 205 runs in 19.4 overs with a loss of 6 wickets. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel scored a century for Nepal’s victory. Rohit contributed 112 runs out of 54 balls by smashing 10 boundaries and 6 sixes.

Dipendra Singh Airee scored 24, Kushal Bhurtel 16, and Kushal Malla 16 runs for Nepal. Bibek Yadav scored 7 and Anil Shah 5 runs for the team. Gulshan Jha and Pratis GC were unbeaten at 9 and 5 runs respectively.

Mathew Forde and Obed McCoy 2–2 wickets for West Indies ‘A.’

Nepal won the toss and chose to field first. In the first innings, West Indies ‘A’ scored 204 runs playing all 20 overs with a loss of 5 wickets. Captain Roston Chase scored 74 runs out of 46 balls for West Indies ‘A.’ Alick Athanaze scored 47 runs for the team.

Kamal Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee and Abinash Bohora scored 1 wicket each for Nepal. The next match of the series will take place on Sunday.
