JSP splits into 3; Announcement of Identitarian Front underway

Kathmandu: Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal has split into 3 parts.

Federal Council Chairperson of JSP Nepal, Ashok Rai formed the Janta Samajwadi Party (JSP). The Election Commission also gave him a registration certificate for the party.

The neutral leaders of the JSP Nepal, who are neither in support of Yadav nor Rai, are in the process of forming an Identitarian Front. Limbuwan leader Khagendra Makhim, Dr. Mahendra Lavati, and others are some of the leaders preparing for the Front.

Earlier, Makhim united the Federal Limbuwan Province Council with JSP. However, with the split of the JSP, Makhim said they are preparing to form an identity front. The announcement will be made on Thursday.

Prof. Dr. Mahendra Lawati will also remain active on the Front. ‘We have concluded after an extensive discussion for 3 days. We are not with Mr. Upendraji or Mr. Ashok, we will be at the front,’ said Dr. Lawati.

The group supported the identitarian candidate Dakendra Singh Thegim in the by-election on 27 April (Baishak 15).
