Prime Minister inaugurates Third Investment Summit

Kathmandu: The Third Investment Summit has opened to bring in foreign direct investment and launch development projects for the country’s economic progress on Sunday.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurated the Summit amidst a special program. One hundred and fifty-one projects have been presented for investment in the Summit. One thousand and six hundred investors from more than 55 countries are participating in the event. Nepal Investment Board has informed that there will be 23 exhibition stalls along with detailed information on the projects in the conference.

Similarly, concept notes would be called for 19 projects. The two-day international event features 11 parallel sessions on Monday. The first day witnesses the inauguration session and two major sessions. The investors will have opportunities to interact with PM Dahal and Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun in the course of the summit. The First Investment Summit was organized on March 2-3, 2017 and the Second Investment Summit on March 29 and 30, 2019.
