Supreme Court refuses to give interim order to Koshi’s Outgoing Chief Minister Karki

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has refused to give an interim order to Koshi’s outgoing Chief Minister Kedar Karki.

The single bench judge Hari Phuyal refused to grant an interim order on Friday.  After the appointment of CPN (UML) Leader Hikmat Karki as Chief Minister, Karki demanded the cancellation of the appointment field writ petition in the Supreme Court.

Likewise, he sought a mandate to continue as Chief Minister. In writ, he made Province Chief Office, Provincial Chief Parshuram Khapung, Speaker Ambar Bahadur Bista, CPN(UML) Province Parliamentary Party Leader Hikmat Kumar Karki, and supporters of the resolution as defendants.
