Gandaki splits Ministries for equal distribution among ruling coalition

Kathmandu: The Gandaki Province Chief Minister Khagraj Adhikari has split the Ministry, to share power among the ruling coalition.

Minister Hari Bahadur Chuman, who has not been assigned a particular department, said that the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to split the Ministry for Social Development and Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

Based on that the number of ministries has increased from 7 to 9. Health and Interior. Ministries have been added in the province.

Previously, there were 12 Ministries in Gandaki Province, but after the appointment of Adhikari as Chief Minister, on 9 January 2023 (Poush 25, 2079), he reduced those ministries to 7.

Adhikari appointed Chuman and Manange as ministers, but the specific role has not been assigned yet. The number of ministries have been increased to distribute equal ministries among the ruling coalition.
