“Kaal”-Revolving around death and cycle of time (Photo feature)

Kathmandu:  The staging of the drama “Kaal” has begun in Arohan Gurukul, Kunja Natak Ghar, Thapagaon.

This drama is influenced by Shankhar Kharel’s story ‘Kaal.’ Kaal is based on the writings, imagination, and direction of Actor-director Ram Bhajan Kamat. The story revolves around the death and cycle of time.

Kaal advocates the psychological treatment of people, who are driving themselves towards the path of suicide, by becoming the victims of psychological illness due to the economic crisis as well as social and natural causes.

Kaala attempts to touch both sides of life and death. The 1 hour and 20 minutes drama makes one feel like being part of the story. Sunil Pokharel, Prawin Khatiwada, Chandra Nepali, Nita Rai, Keshav Shahi, Ashish Ghimire, Arjun Shiwakoti, Sandesh( Ghayendra) Karki,  Roshan Chand, Salina Chettri, and Survi  Kamat are the actors of the drama.

The drama succeeded in qualifying in the Music and Dance Pragya Academy Drama Competition, guaranteeing remuneration in 2078 B.S. Kaal, except on Monday, which will be staged at 4:30 p.m. every day till 16 December (Mangsir 30).

According to the theatre, an additional show will be staged at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
