‘H. Ram Pandit’ satirically presents all the huge problems and hassles that the public faces in government offices even for conducting minor services.

Kathmandu: The drama ‘H. Ram Pandit’ is being staged at Shilpi Theatre, Battisputali. Dailo Arts, in support of Shree Bhairab Purashkar Guthi, started staging the drama.

The drama has been staged at the Gothale, Shilpi Theatre since 13 September (Bhadra 27). ‘H. Ram Pandit’ is based on the essays collection ‘Kaukuti’, ‘Jaya Bhudi’, and ‘Iti Shree.’ Late Bhairab Aryal. had written the essay collections. Aryal is known as the King of Comedy in Nepali Literature.  

In Hindu religion, there is a belief that the deeds of human life decide one’s destiny after death either towards hell or heaven. 

How are the holy and sinful activities of a person measured after death? Who plays a direct or indirect role in this process? The drama is a reflection of all the hassles that a dead person has to go through, especially in the administrative office of Chitragupta.

Barat Limbi has dramatized and directed the drama. Shrawan Rana Magar, Bikash Joshi, Sabir Churautey, Sabin Kattel, Roshan Milson Rai, Santosh Giri, Roshan Lohorung Rai, Ujwal Rai, Sunil Rai, Samjhana Rai, Santosh Majhi (Kshitiz) have acted in the drama. 

‘H. Ram Pandit’ is being staged at 5:15 pm till 30th September (Asoj 13) every day except Tuesday. There is also an additional show at 1 pm on Saturday.
