Ireland ‘A’ wins T-20 series against Nepal ‘A’

Kathmandu: Ireland A has won the T-20 series against Nepal A.

Ireland A defeated Nepal by 40 runs in the T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. With this, Ireland won the 3-match T-20 series. Ireland A defeated the Nepal A team by 21 runs on Friday.

Nepal A failed to chase the target of 225 runs. Ireland A packed up Nepal A in 17.5 overs in 184 runs.

Dev Khanal scored 47 runs for the team. Basir Ahmad contributed 26, Captain Binod Bhandari 26, and Lokesh Bam 25 for the team.

Ben White took 3 wickets for Ireland A.

In the first innings, Ireland A has given a target of 225 runs to Nepal A in the ongoing second match of the T-20 cricket series. Nepal A won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Ireland A scored 224 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 6 wickets. Captain Neil Rock was unbeaten at 71 runs. He scored 71 runs out of 34 balls smashing 1 boundary and 7 sixes. Peter Moor scored 65 runs out of 26 balls. He hit 3 fours and 7 sixes.

Sagar Dhakal took 3 wickets for Nepal ‘A’. Kamal Airee and Pawan Sarraf took 1 wicket each for Nepal ‘A’.

Now, Nepal A and Ireland will compete in the third match on Monday.
