West Indies ‘A’ bags title of T-20 series against Nepal

Kathmandu: West Indies ‘A’ has bagged the title of the 5-match T-20 series against Nepal.

West Indies ‘A’ defeated Nepal by 28 runs in the fourth match of the series at the T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. With this, West Indies ‘A’ captured the title of the series by 3-1.

Nepal failed to chase the target of 210 runs. Nepal was packed up in the last ball of the second innings. Nepal scored only 181 runs.

Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel hit a half-century for the team. Rohit scored 82 runs out of 47 balls smashing 7 boundaries and 5 sixes. But, the victory put Rohit’s half-century in the shadow.

Dipendra Singh Airee, Gulsan Jha, and Sundeep Jora scored 19-19 runs for the team. The rest of the players failed to present an aspiring batting.

In the first innings, West Indies ‘A’ won the toss and elected to bat first. West Indies ‘A’ scored 209 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 3 wickets.

Andre Fletcher and Johnson Charles scored half-centuries for the team.

Andre was unbeaten at 84 runs. He smashed 9 boundaries and 4 sixes out of 54 balls. Charles scored 58 runs out of 30 balls.

Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets and Pratis GC 1 wicket for Nepal.

Now, Nepal and West Indies ‘A’ will play the last match of the series on Saturday.
