Nepal wins last match of T-20 series against West Indies ‘A’ by 6 wickets

Kathmandu: Nepal has defeated West Indies ‘A’ in the last match of the T-20 cricket series.

Nepal won the match against West Indies ‘A’ by 6 wickets at the T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

With this, Nepal lost the 5-match series against West Indies ‘A’ by 3-2. West Indies ‘A’ clinched the title of the series by defeating Nepal in the fourth match of the series.

Nepal succeeded in chasing the target of 173 runs in 18.5 overs with a loss of 4 wickets. Anil Sah and Aasif Sheikh contributed half-centuries to the victory of Nepal.

Anil scored 58 runs out of 45 balls by smashing 4 boundaries and 4 sixes. Aasif contributed 51 runs out of 35 balls. He hit 2 fours and 5 sixes.

Kushal Malla was unbeaten at 37 runs. He hit 3 fours and 3 sixes to contribute 37 runs out of 18 balls. Kushal Bhurtel scored 13 and Dipendra Singh Airee scored 5 runs.

Obed McCoy took 3 and Mathew Forde took 1 wicket for West Indies ‘A.’

In the first innings, West Indies ‘A’ won the toss and decided to bat first. West Indies ‘A’ scored 172 runs by playing all 20 overs with a loss of 7 wickets.

Alick Athanaze was unbeaten at 42 runs. Captain Roston Chase contributed 33 runs for the team.

Sagar Dhakal and Sompal Kami took 3-3 wickets for Nepal. Abinash Bohora took 1 wicket for the team.

Nepal defeated West Indies ‘A’ in the first match of the series by 4 wickets. Nepal lost the second, third, and fourth matches by 10, 76, and 28 runs respectively.

The national team of Nepal had played a 5-match series against West Indies ‘A’ for the preparation of the T-20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in the US and the West Indies.
