Kathmandu: The section between Ratopul and Kalopul of Rudramati (Dhobi Khola) has turned colorful with the blooming of Bougainvillea, also known as paper flower.

The scientific name of the flower is Bougainvillea glabra. Bougainvillea, growing on both sides of the river, has enhanced the beauty of the corridor section.

The eye-pleasing scenario of the blooming flowers has overcome the polluted river.

Likewise, Bougainvillea usually blooms in the middle of the Spring Season, which is known as the “King of the seasons”, creating a mesmerizing effect in the streets.

Bougainvillea is creating an enchanting spell over the pedestrians. A passerby cannot remove his/her eye from the aesthetic beauty of Bougainvillea.

Local Organizations and local authorities collaborated to plant flowers of different colors of Bougainvillea on the roadside.
