7. 4 magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan, 4 killed

Kathmandu: A powerful earthquake has jolted the east coast of Taiwan.

According to BBC, an earthquake of 7. 4 magnitudes occurred at 7.00 a.m. on Wednesday. Around 4 people died, and more than 50 people were injured in the earthquake as per National Fire Agency.

Likewise, Taiwan’s officials have issued a notice to close schools across the country. A warning of the tsunami has been issued in Taiwan and its neighboring country after an earthquake.

This is the strongest earthquake that Taiwan has experienced in the past 25 years. In September 1999, Taiwan faced a 7.6-magnitude earthquake, that killed 2400 people and destroyed 5000 buildings.
