Maharastra Govt. to support Nepali Cricket Team

Mumbai: The Maharastra State government has committed to support the development of cricket in Nepal.

Maharastra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis interacted with Nepali Media personnel on Thursday. He said that the Maharastra government would support the development of Nepali Cricket, enhance the skills of Nepali players, and create an environment to arrange matches between the teams of the two nations.

Deputy CM Fadnavis said that he would play the role of a mediator to arrange matches between the Indian and Nepali cricket teams.

He said, ‘If an official proposal comes from the side of Nepal, our Maharastra government would play the role of the mediator to help the Nepali team through Mumbai Cricket Academy. Maharastra government would play the role of the mediator for organizing matches between the two teams, training Nepali cricketers in Mumbai, and providing opportunities for playing cricket at a commercial level. We would like to support the growth of the Nepali Cricket.’

16 Nepali journalists had an interaction with Deputy CM Fadnavis in his office. 16 Journalists, in coordination with the Independent Youth Democratic Union, are in India visit.

Union Chairperson Arabind Mahato expressed his belief that Nepali sports would experience a progressive change in coordination with the Maharastra government. Mahato praised the support of India in several areas of Nepal.

Deputy CM Fandavis assured of taking steps to solve the problems of Nepali Laborers in India. He assured of taking steps to strengthen the bilateral relationship of Nepal and India.
