PM Dahal calls Constitutional Council meeting

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’ Prachanda’ has called a Constitutional Council meeting.

PM Dahal called for the Constitutional Council meeting to be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, after a discussion with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

PM Dahal and Deuba had a meeting at Baluwatar on Thursday. According to a source of the PM’s Secretariat, the meeting has been called to advance the process of appointment by the government for the vacant positions in various constitutional commissions.

There will be leaders of the main opposition parties, the Chief Justice, the Speaker, the National Assembly Chairperson, and the Deputy Speaker in the Constitutional Council, called under the leadership of the Constitutional Council.
