CIAA files corruption case against 20, including NTA’s Chairperson Jha

Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 20 people.

CIAA files a corruption case against 20 people in charge of irregularities in the purchase of a Mobile Device Management System (MDMS).

CIAA filed a case on Thursday,  by making  then-Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) Chairperson Digambar Jha, then-Chairperson Purushottam Khanal, former Senior Director Ananda Raj Khanal, and others as defendants.

Special Court Spokesperson Dhan Bahadur Karki said that a charge sheet has been registered by making the then NTA Chairperson Jha and then Chairperson Khanal and Senior Director Ananda Raj and 20 people as opposition.

Deepesh Archarya, Surendra Lal Hada, Min Prasad Aryal, Achutananda Mishra, Revathi Ram Pant, Sandeep Adhikari, Binod Chand Shreshta, Surya Prasad Lamichhane, Pratikshya Poudel, Vijaya Kumar Raya Yadav, Nirajan Koirala, Kabindra Raj Malla as defendants.

They have total 910 million (91 crores) 98 lakh 30 thousand 882 and 32 paisa. Spokesperson Karki said regarding to fill up Bigo, different defendants came up with different demands.
