IGP Kunwar: Only Complaint filed against Rabi Lamichhane; Main problem of Cooperative fraud is GB Rai

Kathmandu: Nepal Police Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar has said that required evidence, against Home Minister Lamichhane in case of cooperative fraud, was not found.

Speaking at the meeting of the State Order and Good Governance Committee on Wednesday, IGP Kunwar said only a complaint was filed against the Home Minister.

‘G.B. Rai is the main problem in the cooperative fraud case. We have received information that he is in Malaysia. We have requested INTERPOL for a red corner notice to bring him,’ said IGP Kunwar, ‘Only a complaint was filed against Rabi Lamichhane, a required certificate has not come out yet.’

He said it has been difficult to arrest G.B. Rai as Nepal does not have any extradition treaty with Malaysia.
