1. Minister Lamichhane: Absconding G.B. Rai in Cooperative fraud will be arrested soon

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has said the government is trying its best to solve the nationwide problem seen in the cooperative. Interacting with media in Chitwan on Sunday, Minister Lamichhane said that the government was trying to solve the problem of the cooperative victims with negotiations. Minister Lamichhane has also been alleged of his involvement in the cooperative fraud scandal. Minister Lamichhane said, ‘The government negotiation team and cooperative victims have agreed upon negotiations. The agreement will come into implementation.’ He assured of returning the savings of the cooperative victims from all around Nepal even if there is the need to spot the assets of the embezzlers.

2. CPN (UML) suggests Govt.: Give new speed to development, prosperity, and good governance

CPN (UML) has suggested the government work by ending the hopelessness in society. The secretariat meeting in Party Headquarters in Chyasal on Friday gave the suggestions to the government. Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said, ‘Suggestion for the government is to end the hopelessness in the society and give new speed to the process of development, prosperity, and good governance and focus on protection and promotion of national interests of the country.’ CPN (UML) concluded that a wave of hope was spread in the nation after the formation of the new coalition. ‘We want to give best wishes to the government to work for making their jobs more agile, more problem-focused, and instilling hope and trust in the people,’ said Gyawali.

4. Pradeep Gyawali: NC suffering from political biases

The ruling coalition CPN (UML) Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali has accused the Nepali Congress (NC), suffering from political biases, was seeking the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane. Answering the queries of the media at Party Headquarters in Chyasal on Sunday, Gyawali said that CPN (UML) could not take the NC’s obstruction of the house as a responsible step of a party  He said that UML would support in demand of seeking resignation of Minister Lamichhane if NC registers along with proof in the official body. 

5. Jhalnath Khanal: Nation can attain peace, and prosperity through socialism

 

CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Senior Leader Jhalnath Khanal has said that the nation could be made prosperous only by attaining socialism. Addressing an interaction program in Trichandra Campus on Sunday, Khanal said that the nation can attain peace and prosperity only by acquiring socialism. He said that socialism was required to develop the nation and end the distortions and anomalies. 

6. CPN (UML) decides to nominate Suhang Nembang from Illam-2

The Secretariat meeting of CPN (UML) has decided to nominate Suhang Nembang from Illam-2. The meeting, on Sunday, decided to nominate Nembang in the by-election, scheduled for Baisakh 15 (27th April). Deputy General Secretary Pardeep Kumar Gyawali said, ‘The meeting has decided to nominate Suhang Nembang from Illam-2.’ Suhang is the son of the late Subash Chandra Nembang, who was elected from the same constituent Assembly. The District Working Committee of the Party recommended the name of Subash. Constituent Assembly’s Chairperson and former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang passed away on 12th September  (Bhadra 26). He died due to a heart attack. Likewise, the meeting decided to nominate leader Daman Bhandari to the Bajhang Province Assembly (1).
