Suryadarshan Cooperative Case: Petition against Home Minister Lamichhane at State Order and Good Governance Committee

Kathmandu: A petition has been filed against Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane at the State Order and Good Governance Committee.

Victims of Suryadarshan Saving & Credit Co-operative Limited, Pokhara registered a complaint against Home Minister Lamichhane and the Former Chairperson of the Cooperative Board of Directors Gyan Bahadur Bamjan, Netrapani Bastola, Former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, his son Deepesh Pun, Gorkha Media Pvt. Ltd.

Surya Darshan Depositors Struggle Committee submitted the petition to State Order and Good Governance Committee Chairperson Ram Hari Khatiwada. The victims mentioned in the petition about falling trap of misrule.

It also mentioned the cooperative run by Gitendra Rai known as GB Rai’s group has turned millions of cooperative depositors into victims.

Previously, victims filed a petition against Home Minister Lamichhane at District Police, Kaski on 5 February (Magh 22). Adding the previous petition, the victim submitted an application to Chairperson Khadka on Thursday.

One of the victims, Ramesh Waiba, said that they were constantly addressing the government for not setting the guilty free in the case. ‘Whoever is the guilty, must not be set free, ‘ said Waiba, ‘We believe that the state would not do injustice upon us.’
