NC obstructs HoR meeting; Sunday’s meeting limited to condolence resolution

Kathmandu: The daily schedule of the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting has been affected after the Nepali Congress (NC) obstructed the meeting.

NC obstructed the meeting demanding the resignation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane and an answer from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’ This has resulted in the postponement of the meeting.

The HoR meeting, on Friday, decided the schedule of Minister Lamichhane to present the 2nd amendment bill on Genetic Party for Sunday. However, due to the obstruction of NC, the meeting was limited to passing a condolence resolution.

The meeting was postponed after passing a condolence resolution towards the departed soul of the Member of Parliament (MP), of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Manju Sharma Ansari. MP Sharma died during the treatment on Sunday.

The HoR meeting on Sunday ran only up to 4 minutes and 25 seconds. The next meeting will take place on Monday.
