Minister Lamichhane submits inquiry report to PM Dahal

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has submitted the report of the Commission of Inquiry to control the gold smuggling.

Minister Lamichhane submitted the report, of the inquiry committee, to PM Dahal in Baluwatar on Friday.  PM Dahal, while taking the report, directed to implement the report according to the procedure, to carry out a work in such a way that the innocent could be acquitted, and guilty could not be acquitted.

According to the PM Secretariat, the PM would not interfere in the immediate work in favor of the required reforms suggested by the report. Minister Lamichhane has started internal work to implement the suggestions of the report.

The Chairperson of the inquiry committee on the control of illegal importation of gold, Dilliraj Acharya submitted the report to Minister Lamichhane on Thursday. The committee submitted the report after investigating the issue for 5 and a half months.
