Death toll crosses 30,000 in Gaza

Kathmandu: The data of the Hamas-run health Ministry has confirmed the death of more than 30, 000 Palestinians since 7^th October.

The daily updates of the Ministry, on Thursday, said that 81 people died in the past 24 hours. With this, the number of killed persons has reached 30,035. This number is 1.3 % of the 2.3 million population of Gaza. Most of them are children and women. The data does not filter civilians and fighters.

However, the number of actually killed people seems to be even more than the data. The data does not constitute the record of the people not reaching the hospital and not even the thousands of people lost under the wreckage of the buildings due to the Israeli air strikes.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health (MoH), more than 70 thousand people have been injured till now. The UN agencies and other international organizations have also quoted the date. The World Health Organization (WHO) also said that it was in regular contact with the Gaza bodies regarding the data. The UN agency has also coined the data credible.

The data shows the number of civilians killed in the fight was more. The Israeli military said that about 10000 terrorists have been killed.
