RSP Congratulates Suhang Nembang for winning byelection in Illam

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has congratulated Suhang Nembang, the newly elected candidate of Illam constituency-2.

The party’s General Secretary and Spokesperson Dr. Mukul Dhakal issued a press release stating Nembang to perform successfully as per public expectations. Dr. Dhakal also included a review of his party’s defeat in the by-election.

Likewise, after the demise of former Speaker Subash Nembang on 13 September (Bhadra 27, 2080). The by-election was held in Illam 2. In that area, CPN(UML) nominated Nembang’s son Suhang Nembang as a candidate.

Nembang won by a wide margin of more than 5000 votes. He obtained 27 thousand 7 hundred and 72 votes, while his nearest competitor Nepali Congress Dambar Bahadur Khadka obtained 21 thousand 9 hundred and 43 votes.

Independent Candidate Dakendra Thegim 11 thousand 4 hundred and 57 votes and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Milan Limbu 5 thousand and 50 votes.
