Kathmandu: The drama ‘Damini Bhir’ is being staged in Mandala Theatre, Thapagaun.

The drama is based on Litterateur Rajan Mukarung’s novel. Mukarung wrote the novel ‘Damini Bhir.’, which succeeded in winning Madan Puraskar for 2069 B.S. Ingihopo Koinch Sunuwar created the concept and directed the drama.

The story of the Damini Bhir revolves around the novel’s character ‘Lachhi’ (Maili). The drama tries to portray the so-called caste system rooted in Nepal. The drama tries to express the pain of harassment and gives graceful techniques to deal with such oppressors.

MaMaa Arts has presented the drama in support of Thaili Entertainment. Artists including Bhawana Upreti, Aakash Nepali, Sachin Ratna, and Punam Thapa are acting in the drama.

Damini Bhir is being staged every day at 5:30 p.m., except on Monday, till 27th September (Asoj 10). According to Mandala Theatre, the drama will also be staged at 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
