DPM Khadka’s sister-in-law and driver killed in Banke accident

Nepalgunj: Two persons were killed in a road accident near Muguwa rivulet of Rapti sonari-8 in Banke district along the East-West Highway on Tuesday evening.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka’s sister-in-law Dr. Sanju Khati Khadka (younger brother’s wife) and car driver Subash Adhikari of Gorkha died on the spot.

A bus with number plate Bhe 1 3335 enroute to Kakarbhitta from Nepalgunj collided with the car (Ba 13 Cha 8253) going from east to west. The deceased have been identified as Sanju Khati and driver Adhikari, said DSP Sundar Tiwari, chief of Area Police Kohalpur.

Tiwari said that the driver of the bus has been taken into custody by the Area Police Office, Kohalpur. Six passengers of the bus sustained minor injuries in the accident. They are undergoing treatment in Kohalpur.
