Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has remembered Nirmal Lama as an ideal politician.
PM Dahal said this at a program organized to mark the 24th Memorial Day of Lama at CPN (Maoist Centre)’s headquarters, Parisdanda, this morning, PM’s secretariat said.
Recalling leader Lama, PM Dahal said, ‘Nirmal Lama was the inspiring personality of the Nepali communist movement. The thoughts he presented in and around the year 2033-34 BS were important mainly in the debate of the people’s revolution in Nepal.’
The Prime Minister said that the communist leaders of Nepal had taken inspiration from his life. ‘As a leader, he was transparent, open, firm in his integrity, and committed to the working class,’ PM reflected.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha and other leaders also highlighted Lama’s contributions.
