Pradeep Khadka won the Best Actor Award for the first time

Kathmandu: Actor Pradeep Khadka won the ‘Best Actor Award’ for his acting in the movie ‘Prakash.’

Pradeep won an award at Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF). This is the first best award category won by Pradeep after stepping into the Nepali film fraternity.

Likewise, actress Deeya Maskey also won the ‘Best Actress Award’ for the same movie

The sixth edition of NIFF honored ‘Aina Jhyaal ko Putali’ as the Best Feature movie. Sujit Bidari won the Best Director and Best Scriptwriter Awards.

Dinesh Khatri won the Jury Award. Organizer KP Pathak shared his views of making the festival even grand in the upcoming year.

NIFF had given a total of 13 Awards. A total of 95 movies from 35 different countries were shown at the festival.

Actress Gauri Malla, Priyanka Karki, Namrata Shrestha, Prakash Sayami, and other film makers were part of the festival.

 

The NIFF Award winners are as follows:

Best Actor–Pradeep Khadka (Prakash)

Best Actress- Deeya Maskey (Prakash)

Best Director- Sujit Bidari (Aina Jhyaal ko Putali)

Best Director Short Movie- Pradhyuman Mishra (Dubida)

Best Short Nepali Movie-Junko(Minso Limbu)

Best Short International Movie-The Book (Iran)

Best Short Animated Movie- The Legend of Goldhun (Slovenia)

Best National Documentary- The Tigers Jaw (Director – Kamal Kumar)

Best International Documentary- Souls of the Forest (Indonesia)

Best Nepali Feature Film- Aina Jhyal ko Putali

Best International Feature Film-Memories of Gloomy Monsoon (Bangladesh)

Best International Feature Film- A House with No Name: Patalghar (Bangladesh)

Best Cinematographer-Rajesh Shrestha (Prakash)

Best Script- Sujit Bidari (Aina Jhyal ko Putali)
