Parliamentary Hearing Committee approves Raya for Auditor General

Kathmandu: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has approved Toyam Raya for the Auditor General.

The committee approved Raya after the completion of the hearing on Tuesday. The Constitutional Council recommended Raya to the Auditor General on 31 March 2024 (Chaitra 18, 2080).

Raya is the secretary of the National Statistics Office.

Likewise, the post was vacant after the retirement of Tankamani Sharma on 21 May 2024( Jestha 8,2080).

Previously, Raya handled the Finance Secretary’s responsibility, before that he served as Commerce Secretary. He has experience as a District Administration Officer and Director General of the Customs Department.
