Chairperson Lingden shows curiosity with Ambassador Thompson about American funding to promote atheism

Kathmandu: US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson has paid a courtesy call to the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden.

RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said that Ambassador Thompson and Chairperson Lingden had a meeting in the RPP Central Office, Dhumbarahi on Wednesday morning.

They had a meeting after a statement from the American Senator about distributing American dollars for promoting religious freedom and atheism.

Chairperson Lingden has shown curiosity regarding the statement in the meeting. Spokesperson Shrestha said Ambassador Thompson replied that America did not fund to promote atheism in Nepal and did not have such a policy.

Both have an amicable discussion regarding the bilateral benefit of the nations.
