Modi again emerges as the most popular leader in the world

Kathmandu: Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has once again topped the list of the World’s Most Popular Leaders.

Modi has emerged as the most popular leaders across the world, leaving behind some of the most powerful and popular figures like US president Joe Biden and UK prime minister Rishi Sunak. He was also at the top of the list last year.

As per the Morning Consult’s survey, Modi received the highest approval ratings of 76 percent. While Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese secured the second and third position respectively.

The fourth and fifth positions are secured by Switzerland’s Alain Berset and Brazil’s Lula Silva respectively- with Italy’s Giorgia Meloni in the sixth and Belgium’s De Croo in the seventh place.

Biden, Sunak and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau are in the 8th, 9th and 10th positions respectively in the list.

Why is Modi so popular?

Modi’s popularity is based on some of his characteristics which are rarely found in other politicians. The first that makes him stand out is his transparent way of life style. He is such a leader who is true to his words and things he does.

Another merit that makes Modi somehow unique is his lifestyle. In other words, he likes simple living and does not care about his image. Besides, his love for Indian way of life and commitment to national values have added to his popularity.
