Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has written an application to Speaker Devraj Ghimire, requesting to arrange to speak in parliament.
Home Minister Lamichhane wrote a letter to Speaker Ghimire on Tuesday, asking him to arrange a time in the upcoming house session, which will begin on 10 May (Baishak 28), to answer the questions raised in the previous house session.
Likewise, Minister Lamichhane also submitted a letter from the Attorney General’s Office, mentioning his non-involvement in the cooperative case.
NC repeats demand of forming parliamentary inquiry committee
The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) obstructed the previous house session demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the involvement of Home Minister Lamichhane in a cooperative fraud case.
