CIAA files corruption case against Sunil Paudel at Special Court

Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed another case against the then Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Sunil Paudel.

CIAA filed another case against Paudel in  Special Courton Sunday. CIAA filed a case against Paudel for misusing his position and amassing assets worth 230 million (23 crores) 7.5 million (75 lakh) 46 thousand 324 rupees.

CIAA has mentioned that it investigated property against Poudel from 2 June 2004 (Jestha 20, 2061) till 13 March (Falgun, 30). He has been accused of acquiring illegal wealth by irregularity in the purchase of telecommunication and technology equipment related to financial transactions.

Likewise, it 2nd case has been filed against Paudel. Previously, he was found guilty in the case of the purchase of payment gateway equipment at a Special Court on Friday.
