Police arrest 2 Brazilian in case of smuggling Cocaine

Kathmandu: Police have arrested 2 foreigners with drugs and cocaine at Thamel, Kathmandu.

According to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) SP Rameshwor Karki, they arrested Brazilian Larison Brito Dos Santos and Fernanda Vel Dis, who were suspiciously staying in hotel at JP Marga, Thamel.  It has been found that they used to swallow cocaine capsules, in order to bring in Nepal.

Total 1 kilo 390 cocaine was seized from 139 capsules with 840 grams of cocaine hidden by Larison and another 550 grams hidden by Fernand on 26 March (Chaitra 13).

Likewise, both were taken to Police Hospital, on suspicion that they might have hidden more cocaine.  SP Karki said that an additional 65 grams of cocaine was recovered from Larison’s stomach during tests at the hospital.

They have been presented at Kathmandu District Court, for further investigation.
