Both nations playing a vital role in strengthening the internal civilization and cultural relations: Ambassador Srivastava

Dhangadi: Ambassador of India to Nepal Naveen Srivastava has highlighted the probability of pilgrimage tourism in Sudurpaschim of Nepal and Uttarakhand Pradesh of India to boost the economy.

Ambassador Srivastava, who came to Nepal from India to address the Manaskhanda International Conference, emphasized that both India and Nepal had been playing a vital role in strengthening internal civilization and cultural relations since ancient times.

He coined that religious tourism could be another significant area for strengthening the bond between Nepal and India.

Srivastava said that the desire of the Indian government was to create a smooth channel for the traveling of pilgrims from Nepal to India and vice-versa.

Bharatiya Janata Party Head of Foreign Affairs Dr. Vijaya Chauthaiwale also addressed the closing ceremony of the conference.

Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah of Sudurpaschim Province welcomed Dr. Chauthaiwale. Dr. Chauthaiwale said that both nations must focus on developing more than 40 religious sites, which were in shadow, located in Sudurpaschim Province and Uttarakhand areas.

Dr. Chauthaiwale was the keynote speaker at the conference. The three day conference has been organized in mutual cooperation and coordination of the Sudurpaschim University of Nepal and the Kumaun University of Uttarakhand.

Nepali Congress Leader Dr. Arju Rana Deuba, Vice-Chancellor of Sudurpaschim University Ammarraj Joshi, Economic Affairs Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Prakash Bahadur Deuba, and other prominent personalities also addressed the conference.
