Hearing of Sandeep Lamichhane’s case going on at Patan High Court

Kathmandu: The hearing case of Sandeep Lamichhane is going on.

Under joint bench judge, Sudarshan Dev Bhatt and Anju Upreti Dhakal Lamichhane’s hearing case is going on at Patan High Court.

Lamichhane filed an appeal demanding to overturn the decision of the Kathmandu District Court in a rape case at the High Court on 22 February, (Falgun 10, 2080).

Previously, the District Court had convicted Lamichhane guilty in a rape case and sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment with a fine of 0. 3 Million (3 lakh ) rupees and compensation of 0.2 million (2 lakh ) rupees.

Likewise, the Attorney General’s office has also appealed against the District Court declaration to Gaushala 26 as a minor and minimum punishment given to Lamichhane.

Currently, hearing of both cases going on.  A decision would come today after the hearing.
