High Court permits Lamichhane to fight case outside jail

Kathmandu: The Patan High Court has permitted permission to Sandeep Lamichhane to fight the case outside the jail.

The High Court in the registration appeal by Lamichhane on Thursday, permitted him to fight the case outside the jail regarding the Civil Code of Criminal Procedure Act, 2074. The date of the case has been fixed on 25 March (Chaitra 12).

Kathmandu District Court convicted Lamichhane in a case of rape and sentenced him to 8 years imprisonment. Lamichhane filed for an appeal by saying that the decision was flawless. However, he has been insisting on his innocence.

Likewise, Kathmandu District Court convicted Lamichhane in a rape case filed by Gaushala 26.
