Kathmandu: The ‘Yugko Sancho’ is being staged at the Shilpee Theatre, Battisputali.The staging of the drama began on July 11 (Asar 27).

The drama ‘Yugko Sancho’ advocates industrialization in the phase of youth emigration. It is also an optimistic approach to the potential for progress within the nation. The thematic strength of the drama urges the government to address national concerns and guides the country’s future.

The drama ‘Yugko Sancho’ is based on Roald Dahl’s 1964 novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Just like the idea of a golden ticket in the novel, Miss Moon wrapped up 5 keys in various clothes to hand over the key of her industry to an honest young generation in the drama.

Youths and children, belonging to various classes and communities, succeed in getting the key. Then, the key bearers get a tour of the highly successful “Moon Namuna Udhyog.” The drama revolves around the same story.

The Michael Chekov Nepal and School Theatre Nepal have presented the drama.

The cast includes Akanksha Karki, Sevita Adhikari, Sheela Niraula, Rara Jyoti Pokharel, Usha Bhatt, Pratik Dulal, Pushparaj Awasthi, Vijay Nepal, Shridhar Gautam, Anu Lakandri, Anshika Joshi, Kashyap Gyawali, and Abhinit Chaulagain. Tanka Chaulagain has adapted and directed the drama.

The drama will be staged every day, except on Tuesday, till Shrawan 19 (August 3) at  5:30 p.m. There is an additional show on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
