Upendra Yadav returning to Nepal today

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Upendra Yadav will be returning to Nepal today.

Minister Yadav is returning to Nepal after the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, under his leadership, split on Sunday.

Minister Yadav went to New York, as a representative of the Government of Nepal, to attend the 57^th session of the Commission on Population and Development in New York. He departed for the USA on April 27.

There was a schedule for Minister Yadav to return to Nepal on Tuesday.

Minister Yadav is in Qatar now. There was a schedule of a two-day program in Qatar. But, he shortened it to a day and returned to Nepal.

His secretariat informed Nepal Views his flight would land in Kathmandu on Monday late evening.

A  faction, led by Ashok Rai, applied to form a new party with the name “Janata Samajwadi Party”, the National Election Commission on Sunday.
