Chaudhary after giving statement: With what purpose is ‘political stunt’ going on?

Kathmandu: Businessperson and Nepali Congress MP Binod Chaudhary has said a ‘political stunt’ has been performed upon him.

Chaudhary termed the investigation on him as a ‘political stunt’, after giving his statement in the District Attorney’s Office in the Bansbari Land Embezzlement case on Thursday.

He said that there was no need for him to show his character certificates to stunt performers. ‘I don’t need to show my character certificate to stunt performers. I am an honest politician, so, therefore, I came to give a statement,’ said Chaudhary.

He further added,’ The purpose of the stunt of presenting the letter, regarding the investigation, colorfully in media has been clear. After this matter was raised, and my brother was investigated, as a member of parliament I spoke in the party meeting, and from the rostrum of the parliament. But it was not heard,’ said Chaudhary.

Likewise, Chaudhary said that when the land of Bansbari was taken 42 years ago, it was unoccupied. ‘At that time that land was not even sold for a penny. Coming to the present context, the way I am being treated, it is an intervention to the entire industry and businesses,’ said Chaudhary.
