1. PM Dahal: New coalition government will win trust of people through work


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the current government would win the trust of people through work. Addressing the coalition government’s minimum common program at Singhadurbar on Tuesday, PM Dahal said,’The current government will win the trust of the people through work and results.’ He even claimed that the government from the beginning had done good work. ‘I direct the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers, and Secretaries to work so that results are being achieved,’ said PM Dahal.

2. New coalition claims to end general public disappointment

The new coalition government has claimed that it would work to end the disappointment seen by the general public. Addressing the minimum common program at Singhadurbar on Tuesday, the new coalition government claimed to end the disappointment. The coordinator of the writing committee Bishnu Prasad Paudel, while announcing the program said,’ Work will be focused to end disappointment seen in the general public and to improve in the economy.’ said Paudel.

3. PM Dahal phoned Mahara in middle of meeting

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has phoned CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice Chairperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara. PM Dahal phoned Mahara in the middle of the party’s official meeting at Baluwatar on Tuesday. An official from the meeting said, ‘Chairperson Comrade phoned Mahara and asked what action to take against him. He didn’t replay anything. He said he will tell after some time.’ According to the party’s Spokesperson Agni Sapkota, the CPN (Maoist Centre) will make a concrete decision about Mahara in the afternoon. There is a schedule for PM Dahal to reply to MP’s questions in the parliament. After that, the final decision will be made regarding Mahara said Spokesperson Sapkota.

4. NC dissatisfied with reply of PM Dahal

The opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has warned to obstruct the parliament until the beginning of the investigation on Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane. NC was not satisfied with the reply of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, regarding the questions raised upon the appointment of Home Minister Lamichhane, in the parliament meeting on Tuesday. Defending the Home Minister, PM Dahal said, ‘He is not involved in the case either as a cooperative director or as a manager, and even his loan has been foreclosed. This indicates no need for investigating.’

5. Chairperson Oli: NC must display role of mature opposition

CPN (UML) Chairperson K.P. Sharma Oli has said Nepali Congress (NC) needs to play the role of a mature opposition. Interacting with the media in the Parliament building on Tuesday, Chairperson Oli commented upon the NC’s role. Chairperson Oli accused NC of pouring the pain of leaving the government. He said that NC should not have shown the furiousness, incitement, provocation, and obstruction of the parliament just after stepping out from the government. Similarly, Chairperson Oli said that despite the demand of the NC for the Parliamentary Committee it was not possible to fulfill the demand of the NC to investigate the Deputy and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

6. Home Minister Lamichhane: I will not resign, I will work

Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has said that he would work rather than give his resignation. Minister Lamichhane made those statement, despite the demand of the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) for his resignation in parliament on Tuesday. Answering the questions raised by the media outside the parliament building Minister Lamichhane said, ‘I won’t resign, I will work.’ ‘We will respond with work. I will say, let NC obstruct the parliament for 4 years. Doing irregularities in the country and effecting investigation, and now, NC is talking about ethics by dismissing the person who is doing an investigation? Talking about good governance?’ said Minster Lamichhane.
