Final hearing of Brick Kiln case against Alam

Kathmandu: The final hearing against Nepali Congress leader Mohammad Aftab Alam will be held today.

Alam is accused of burning people alive in a brick kiln, Rautahat.  His final hearing case has been under the single bench of Judge Martika Prasad Acharya.

Likewise, Alam was accused of burning injured people that were injured from a bomb blast in Rajpur, Rautahat on 9 April 2008 (27 Chaitra, 2064). For preliminary investigation, Alam has been in custody since 14 November 2016 (Kartik 29, 2073).

Alam, who is also a former Minister, was accused of burning people alive in brick klin, due to fear of revelation in the bomb explosion incident that took place during the Constituent Assembly Election in 2007 A. D. (2064 B.S) in Rajpur.

Police re-investigated the case in 2007 A. D. (2076 B.S). A case regarding using explosive bombs for killing had been filed against Alam in Rautahat District Court on 4 November 2019( Kartik 18, 2076).
