CIAA prosecutes case against 249 in charge of Tikapur land scam

Kathmandu: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority(CIAA) will be prosecuting a case against 249 in charge of Tikapur’s land scam.

The meeting of the CIAA, held on Thursday, decided to file a case against 249 people in a Special Court.  CIAA earlier sent a land embezzlement file report to the Special Court on Thursday.

Likewise, the Tikapur land scam case is considered a bigger corruption than Lalita Niwas, where, around 30 acres of government land around the market area was distributed to party cadres and their relatives in the name of the Tikapur Development Committee.

Similarly, CIAA is preparing to make all officials of the Tikapur Development Committee defendants. Most of the officials belong to Achham.

There were 175 defendants in the Lalita Niwas land scam case, compared to which Tikapur land scam appears as a big corruption.
