Finance Minister Dr. Mahat : NEA should reconsider it’s decision to halt supply to industries

Kathmandu: Minister of Finance Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has commented on the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)’s decision to halt electricity supply to industries.

Minister Dr. Mahat said that NEA must reconsider its decision to cut the electricity supply of industries. Dr. Mahat said that the decision of NEA should be reconsidered in a time when the country’s economy is in a weak state. He said that there was a need to act as per the pressure that the industries were going through.

Likewise, Minister Dr. Mahat, while having a conversation with News Agency Nepal in Chitwan, said that the NEA must reconsider its decision to cut off the power line of the industries based on the dedicated transmission line during the time of load-shedding period.

Dr. Mahat said that the government must provide relief to the industrialists in times of trouble.
