Give enormous votes in 2084, name will be as per identity: Prachanda

Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has asked for enormous votes in the constituency election in 2084 B.S.

PM Dahal shared his views while addressing the program organized by the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities. He said, ‘Give enormous votes to identity advocate in 2084 B.S. The province’s name will get approved from the house session in favor of identification. The demanded name would be approved.’

He said, ‘I now believe that the recent incidents have developed new consciousness in us. And, on that strength, the naming of the province can be done based on identity. You all should think this matter seriously.’

Prachanda said that his party didn’t receive the majority for placing the name as per the identity. He said, ‘The adequate majority was not received to keep the names of the province based on identity advocates like Sherpa and Kirat. That’s why it could not be implemented.’

Prachanda shared his effort of proposing amendments in the House of Representatives session for indigenous communities including Madhesi. He said,’ I am the first prime minister who proposed amendments in favor of indigenous communities two times.’
