It’s wrong to demand resignation without giving the chance of clarification: PM Dahal

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has termed the demand for the resignation of ministers for political motives as wrong.

PM Dahal interacted with media personnel at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Friday.

PM Dahal said, ‘It is not a good practice to demand the resignation of the Prime Minister, Home Minister, or Finance Minister for political motives. If the question has been raised on a certain subject matter, there must be a chance for clarification. The practice of threatening or obstructing the parliament demanding resignation, without giving a chance of explanation is wrong.’

PM Dahal also gave the details about the separate meetings with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, World Food Program (WFP)’s Executive Director Cindy Mccan, FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, and International Fund for Agriculture Development’s President Alvaro Lario.

Prime Minister Prachanda returned to Nepal after attending ‘Food System Summit +2’ organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Rome in Italy.
