Chelsea World School students bag 2 gold

Thailand: Taekwondo players from Chelsea World School have bagged 2 gold and 5 bronze medals in the 6th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship 2023.

The Chelsea World School students represented Nepal in the two-day tournament at Assumption University of Thailand, Bangkok.

Prakhar K.C., who competed over 46 kg category (11-12 years male) won the gold medal. Samragyee Bista, who competed in the 34-38 kg category (11-12 years female), also won the gold.

Likewise, Aakrisha Pandey won a bronze medal in the 42-46 kg (11-12 years female) category. Anurag Chaulagain bagged bronze in the 38-42 kg (11-12 years) category.

Similarly, Ridiya Giri secured bronze in the 47-51 kg (12-14 years female) category. Yunay Abi Khadka won the bronze in the under 23 kg (9-10 years make) category.

Ram Bahadur Khatri won bronze in the 49-53 kg (12-14 years) category. A total of 137 teams from 20 countries have competed in the open tournament.

Anubhav Jung Thapa had trained the team for the tournament. Coach Thapa said, ‘ It is one of the glorious histories of the Department of Taekwondo in Chelsea World School.’
