Parliament passes budget with majority

Kathmandu: Parliament has passed the budget for the upcoming fiscal year with the majority.

147 MPs voted in favor of the budget. 108 MPs voted against the budget.

The main opposition party CPN (UML), Rastritya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and Janamat Party voted against the budget.

On 15^th Jestha, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat presented the budget of 17 Kharba 93 Crore 76 Lakhs Rupees for the upcoming fiscal year.

Earlier, the ruling and the opposition party were protesting about not allowing the budget to pass if the budget was not amended.
