Nepal sets 168-run target for Netherlands

Kathmandu: Nepal has set a target of 168 runs for the Netherlands in the ICC World Cup Qualifier.

Set to bat first by losing the toss, Nepal were bowled out for 167 runs in 44.3 overs at The Takasinga Sports Club. Captain Rohit Kumar Poudel scored 33 runs for Nepal unbeaten. Sandeep Lamichhane and Kushal Bhurtel collected 27 runs each.

While Bhim Sarki added 22 runs. Gulsan Jha and Dipendra Singh Aire contributed 15 runs each for Nepal. Kushal Malla, Arif Sheikh and Karan KC chipped in with 12, 6 and 1 run respectively.

For the Netherlands, Logan Van Beek bagged 4 wickets, and Bas de Leede and Bikramjit Singh took two wickets each.

Today’s match against the Netherlands is a must-win match for Nepal in order to secure a spot in next stage.
