ICC World Cup Qualifier: Nepal hopes win against West Indies today

Kathmandu: Nepal and West Indies are facing each other in the ICC World Cup Qualifier on Thursday.

The match will begin at 4:45 pm in Harare, Zimbabwe. West Indies and Nepal are going to play against each other for the first time. The West Indies are two-time ODI and T20 World Cup champions.

Nepal’s captain Rohit Poudel has said that Nepal will play against the West Indies without any fear. Taking Nepal’s recent form into account, it is possible to beat the West Indies, he said.

Coach Monty Desai said that this is a historic opportunity for Nepal. West Indies defeated USA in their first match in Group ‘A’ while Nepal lost to Zimbabwe. In the second match, Nepal defeated USA.

Zimbabwe has won both the matches played so far and is at the top of the table with four points. West Indies and Nepal are in second and third positions respectively with two points each.

The United States is in the fourth position with its second consecutive defeat while Netherlands is at the bottom of the table with one match played so far.
