Kathmandu: Lawmakers have started question-answer session with proposed Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki.
Karki and lawmakers of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee have started the question-and-answer session in the committee hall. During the session, lawmakers are raising the questions in relation to the allegations against Karki, including disputes and his future plans.
Earlier in Thursday’s meeting, Karki claimed that he had worked honestly for nation-building. He also said that he did not enter the Supreme Court because of personal desire, adding he had worked honestly after assuming office.
Similarly, the proposed Chief Justice Karki has presented a plan to make an effective law to neutralize the influence of middlemen in the court.
Karki’s written action plan states that a separate mechanism would be formed to curb the middlemen and recommendations would be made to the concerned bodies for taking action against the culprits.
