‘Weak Visit, Incorrect Protocol’ : Oli

Kathmandu: The main opposition party CPN (UML)’s Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has commented on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ ‘s India visit as a weak one.

Oli while addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting commented on PM Dahal’s visit. He said that the performance of the Prime Minister of Nepal must not be weak to such an extent.

Oli said, ‘There was no protocol. No information on where the Finance Minister, External Affairs Minister and other Ministers were. The daughter was by the side but not the External Affairs Minister. Spouse is the First Lady. What should we say if he takes his granddaughter on the next visit? Second Lady? There must have been External Affairs Minister, Ministers, Courtesy Mayor, one who was able to keep an official record. Secretary must have been there. Don’t bend the protocol to such an extent.’

He coined the India visit of PM Dahal as a family visit. Oli said, ‘Was it religious? Pilgrimage? family? What kind of visit was that? Such a weak presentation is not acceptable. A nation like Nepal must not be weak.’

Oli sarcastically said that it was a total of only 15 buffaloes with which PM Dahal had returned. He added, ‘He didn’t bring anything rather than 15 buffaloes. It is true that he only brought 15 buffaloes.’
